months of successful employmentThe Youth Community Crisis
Stabilization (YCCS) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
provides psychiatric care, within the scope of their license and
under the supervision of the Community Behavioral Health Center
(CBHC) Medical Director, or other board certified or board eligible
psychiatrist. The YCCS Advanced Practice Registered Nurse assists
in leading a comprehensive medical team in the provision of
community-based crisis stabilization services within a continuum of
care for youth impacted by emotional dysregulation, other
behavioral health challenges and co-occurring disorders.The YCCS
program is a 24/7 short stay community-based alternative to
hospitalization for youth ages 13-18 with behavioral health (Mental
Health, SUD and co-occurring disorders) symptoms and provides
individualized, short-term crisis stabilization and treatment in a
culturally appropriate, youth and family-friendly environment. The
YCCS Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in conjunction with the
YCCS Clinical Program Director and YCCS Nurse Manager, is
responsible for the clinical and medical oversight of services and
quality of care for youth receiving treatment at the YCCS. The YCCS
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse provides on-call support to
ensure the needs of the youth staying at the YCCS are met.The YCCS
Advance Practice Registered Nurse:In conjunction with, and under
the direction of, the CBHC Medical Director, directs and supervises
the work of the YCCS medical team including registered nurses and
licensed practical nurses.Meets with each youth to conduct an
initial evaluation within one day of admission to the YCCS, seven
days per week; participates as a member of the youth's
multidisciplinary team during the course of the admission,
including provision of psychiatric and pharmacological assessment
and treatment, as trained/licensed and under the supervision of the
CBHC Medical Director.Promotes use of evidence-based practices by
medical staff and ensure medical services meet regulatory agencies
and accrediting organizations standards.Provides clinical
consultation and expertise to YCCS staff including those specific
to admission, discharge, assessment, treatment and youth
disposition. Participates and/or facilitates in team and discharge
planning meetings, clinical and grand rounds.Collaborates with the
YCCS Clinical Program Director and YCCS Nurse Manager on developing
and maintaining of the medical staffing plan.Provides leadership to
a Multidisciplinary Treatment Team for treatment planningpurposes.
Participates in Risk Review Meetings and Adverse Event Reviews, as
needed.Identifies opportunities for programmatic initiatives
including the development ofinitiatives to promote the health of
youth and families.Reviews all critical incidents and recommend
improvement in policies, practices, and/orcorrective actions and
follow-up, as needed.Develops and maintains relationships with
collaborating agencies and institutions.Leads the teams through
example to create an environment of inclusively, learning,cultural
and linguistic humility, and best practices.Participates in
external stakeholder meetings such as those with state agencies,
EOHHSand MassHealth payers.Provides on-call back-up when necessary
to ensure sufficient YCCS coverage.Other duties as requiredWhy

clinical setting, including in management/administrative
role.Current Federal DEA and State Controlled Substances
Certificates are required.CPR is required within two weeks of
