people, communities, and the planet. As the Agri-Mark Manager of
Transportation, Membership Department you will be responsible for
hauling program compliance throughout our entire Agri-Mark
operational territory. This position reports directly to the VP
Membership while also working closely with other department
managers, Field Staff team members, cross functional teams,
contracted haulers, and customers. Planning, writing and
implementing necessary changes to Agri-Mark policies and procedures
is also required. This hybrid role is based out of Andover, Ma.
What you'll be doing:
Responsible for managing contracted hauler relations
Responsible to support hauler relations, and maintain hauler rate
structures Responsible to work cross functionally with other
internal departments to optimize data integration
Responsible for the transportation of raw milk from farm to plant.
This includes internal plants and external customers. Team would be
responsible to oversee daily logistics and weekly dispatch Continue
to support and optimize methods to schedule deliveries both
internally and externally.
Responsible to ensure effective milk movements within our Federal
Order. Responsible to generate recommendations to department head
on strategic business decisions focused on optimizing
transportation.
Validate, analyze, and verify current costs in line with industry
standards.
Will continue to build out advanced methods for cost comparisons.
This position would be responsible to support our member hauling
program.
Development management updates and revisions. Support the
department head with external customer relationships Critical link
between both the membership department and our operations team to
ensure effective load receiving Oversee our calibration division to
ensure member bulk tanks are calibrated and spot checked. Would
support conversations regarding on-farm technology to support our
logistics. Would oversee our Traffic/Dispatch Team and all
affiliated transportation positions. Responsible for maintaining
and developing annual budgets for department.
Will work closely with Member Service Team members to support
hauler payroll process.
Oversee tanker leasing program to contracted haulers which includes
internal audit Support department head in internal approval
processes, program development, and presentations
What we are seeking: Ability to understand transportation rules and
trucking regulations. Ability to understand Pasteurized Milk
Ordinance (PMO) regulations within the Dairy Industry. Ability to
negotiate terms, contracts, and business relations with external
stakeholders. Maintain effective working relationships with
contracted milk haulers. Bachelor's / Master's Degree in
Agricultural related field or business; MBA preferred. 5-7 years of
increasing responsibility with a focus on agriculture and / or
dairy or transportation Excellent analytical, written and verbal
communication skills Well organized with ability to develop and
guide a comprehensive outreach/reaction plan and manage a small
team. Ability to work in team environment High level of
independence and highly motivated Understanding of agriculture
and/or the dairy industry, and associated logistics. Dairy
Cooperative experience preferred Knowledge of and experience
handling issues management and crisis preparedness NOTE: This job

Standing, kneeling, bending for extended periods in a challenging
dairy facility environment. Able to lift 50 lbs. Periods of sitting
for computer related work. Weekends, holidays and night duty
occasionally necessary
