Job Description:

Working under the direction of a Principal Software Engineer, the

Software Engineer III will be responsible for the architecture and

development of application frameworks that support application

development for our trading and risk management platforms; maintaining

and enhancing existing frameworks, applications and processes; liaising

and collaborating with R&D team members and trading floor analysts;

designing test frameworks that allow developers to write test cases for

web portal applications; designing and implementing software solutions

to receive, normalize, process and distribute real time market data;

designing and implementing Risk Loading and Fetching System; designing

and implementing database infrastructure for improved scalability,

performance, and functionality; evaluating exchange and vendor data

specifications, developing systems to interpret and integrate this data

into our databases, applying business rules, distributing the data to

consumers, developing data APIs to allow consumption of this data by

traders and quants, and ensuring all related systems are operating

reliably and efficiently; defining the processes, designing and

implementing end-to-end projects, including liaising with trading desks,

quants, and data providers (Bloomberg, Intex, JP Morgan, Citi and

Morningstar); maintaining and developing API’s for the core analytics

library used to price financial instruments traded by the funds;

maintaining and developing infrastructure used by our core analytical

platform and application; taking ownership of production frameworks to

support the team in responding to faults/failures; ensuring QA readiness

of software deliverables; and planning and conducting system testing.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer and

Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely

related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or

three (3) years of experience developing investment trading and

reporting applications or investment trading risk analysis applications.

OR

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer and

Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely

related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or

five (5) years of experience developing investment trading and reporting

applications or investment trading risk analysis applications.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated expertise integrating Portfolio Management, Accounting

and Order Management Systems using .Net technology -- WCF and Web Api.

• Demonstrated expertise designing and developing parallel, distributed

and event driven trading systems at scale with multi-tenet architecture,

and multithreaded programming using C#, leveraging Task Parallel library

async/awaits paradigm, Reactive Extension in C# .Net and RabbitMq.

• Demonstrated expertise developing business intelligence solutions in

an asset management and compliance environment using JavaScript

frameworks -- AngularJS /AureliaJS.

• Demonstrated expertise designing and developing financial applications

using SQL server, including data modeling and schema design, and

interpreting the execution plan and fine tuning queries to improve

performance.
