We are seeking a Business Coach to work in our Entrepreneurship
Center to provide Small Business Support. This position is
responsible for coordinating and providing appropriate technical
assistance (small business coaching) for small business clients.
Responsibilities include performing client needs assessments,
creating a business plan, providing program approved technical
assistance, reporting on outcomes as required by the particular
grant under which the business coaching is being provided.
.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist business owners at all stages of business to ensure that
their business outcome improve as a result of business
coaching.
- Assign and verify that all assigned digital curriculum is
completed by the entrepreneur.
- Follow up on digital curriculum assigned work to ensure the
client understands the assigned work.
- Provide high quality on-site technical assistance business
coaching after the client successfully completes the assigned
work.
- Maintain professional level relationships with all business,
following the communication expectations of the Ecenter.
- Document all TA in the Ecenter's CRM.
- Work in coordination with other TA providers to ensure that
each business is getting a wrap-around support experience.
- Work closely with Director of Ecenter to ensure that all
clients are aware of, and prepared to apply for an SBA loan if
appropriate.
- Travel to local community sites as necessary to meet with area
business owners for support and coaching.
- Integrate a DE&I lens in all activities, encourage
colleagues to engage in DE&I work, and contribute to our
mission of building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive
organization for our employees, clients, and partners; requires
ongoing investment in a personal and professional journey to
understand identity and address unconscious bias, power, and
privilege.
Successful candidate will possess:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years' professional experience in one or more of the
following areas: marketing, finance, bookkeeping, operations,
restaurant or retail management, plus 1-2 years' experience as an
educator or coach.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective participant
interviews, develop participant goals and case management plans and
to document plans and participant outcomes.
- Solid experience in a unique specialty area of TA such as
marketing, finance, bookkeeping, operations, restaurant retail
management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to
local businesses.
- Public speaking, outreach, and marketing skills.
- Working knowledge of Google Drive, Salesforce, MS Word, Excel
and accounting software programs, particularly QuickBooks.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written
communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and confidentiality of
information.
- Knowledge and experience working with low income, culturally
diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
- Strong ability to problem-solve.
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings,
occasional Saturdays and to travel to local community
sites.
- Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people
from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities,
including underserved communities and people from the different
racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages
that make up CTI's clientele.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
