This position involves providing interpretation services within school settings, supporting effective communication for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students and staff. The role requires availability for travel between various school locations, ensuring seamless language access across the district. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students, educators, and peers through accurate and clear sign language interpretation. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support academic achievement and classroom participation. Attend school events and meetings as needed to provide interpretation services. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards. Adapt interpretation style to various educational settings and student needs. Qualifications and Experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong expressive and receptive skills. Experience in educational interpreting, preferably within K-12 environments. Ability to travel locally between schools as required. Familiarity with Deaf culture and sensitivity to diverse communication needs.
