Bradford Industries seeks a highly motivated Industrial Mechanic to join their team in Lowell, MA. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced, manufacturing environment and possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. RESPONSIBILITIES:Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.Examine the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Adjust functional parts of devices in control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.Install special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.Start devices to test their performance.Lubricate and clean parts.May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.Notify Foreman/Supervisors concerning the need for repairs to equipment or other conditions.Initiate purchase orders for parts in machines.Work with and assist outside contractors as requiredComplete all required paperwork and maintain a clean work areaCOMPENSATION/BENEFITS: Bradford Industries puts great value in their Industrial Mechanic position by offering a starting wage of $28+ per hour, commensurate with experience. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position working 5:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Thursday with possible overtime on Fridays. QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent is required.5 years of experience is preferred.Able to withstand constant standing and reaching along with continuous bending, squatting, and walking; frequent kneeling, climbing, sitting; and use of fine motor skills.Able to lift 55 pounds; frequently lift and carry 25 pounds; work on ladders, staging, or other related equipment; and work in confined spaces.Able to operate forklifts.Able to work with minimum supervision, work well with others, and be a team player.Must use proper LO/TO procedures and wear PPE at all times.Qualified to wear a respirator without restriction.Proficiency in all phases of welding (Stick/TIG/MIG) is preferred.APPLY ONLINE at bsct.hirescore.com About BSCT: BSCT is the integration of Shawsheen Coating and Converting from Andover, MA., with Bradford Industries of Lowell, MA.
