CommScope is looking for Staff Hardware Engineer in Lowell, MA. This is a hybrid opportunity that will allow the incumbent to participate in our program.

How You'll Help Us Connect The World: We are an engineering team that designs and delivers groundbreaking communication products. As a member of our Passive Optical Networks' Hardware Engineering team, you will be instrumental in delivering PON products to market. You will work within a multi-disciplined hardware engineering team to develop, test, and support hardware solutions from concept to production and beyond. This role works on digital circuit design, schematic development, hardware design verification, and support of product testing and debug in a lab environment with test equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and traffic generators. Using your strong written and oral communication skills, you will generate test reports for validation of the product. You will also support product integration into the factory, from prototype to production, working with multi-functional team members like Manufacturing Test, Supply Chain, and Customer Support.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of expertise in Hardware Design You will excite us if you have:
    • Master's Degree in a relevant field
    • Knowledge or experience with schematic tools (Mentor or Cadence)
    • Knowledge of Communications standards a plus
    • Understanding of Photonics and Optics
    • Experience with embedded systems and communications protocols/interfaces like I2C, SPI, MDIO, UART, USB
    • Strong lab debug & new product development experience
