Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of our machinery and mechanical equipment. Your expertise will be essential in repairing, maintaining, and optimizing equipment such as fermentation tanks, chillers, and boilers. Responsibilities Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including fermentation tanks, chillers, and boilers. Demonstrate excellence in typical maintenance functions, with a functional understanding of motors, valves, heat exchangers, instrumentation, pumps, agitators, alignments, seal replacement, chillers, and boilers. Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and possess knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics. Complete required documentation for preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment start-up, and decommissioning in accordance with a cGMP quality system. Maintain operation of GMP utility equipment, including HVAC, dust collection, coolers, air compressors, lighting, electrical, and water/plumbing systems. Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies to ensure stock is maintained and replenished. Write or modify PM procedures. Essential Skills Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read schematics and blueprints with at least 2 years of experience. Experience in preventive maintenance and 3-phase wiring with at least 1 year of experience working with 3-phase motors. At least 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance. At least 1 year of experience in mechanical repair/troubleshooting and electrical troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1 year of troubleshooting PLCs. Familiarity with electrical systems. Understanding of PLC troubleshooting, specifically. Why Work Here? We offer a direct hire opportunity with competitive pay ranging from $32-$38 per hour. Work Environment You will work in a GMP environment where safety and cleanliness are paramount. This includes wearing hair nets, beard nets, and hazardous materials gloves. The shift is scheduled from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with the possibility of some overtime, which is never mandatory. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Windsor, WI.
