Mechanical Design Department leads mechanical design, development,
and integration of some of the most innovative land-based and
shipboard radars in the world. This includes phased array radar
systems, electronic modules, pedestals, and power and cooling
systems. The department comprises individuals with technical
expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and
production support. We are looking to grow our team with an
experienced Mechanical Engineer II in support of radar design and
development. This person will be responsible to support the
mechanical teams in all phases of our design cycles, from concept
development through design, development, build and test. Key
requirements for this position include proven problem solving
skills and experience in hardware design and integration,
engineering analysis, and mechanical drawing creation with military
hardware. Technical data package model and drawing development as
well as change notice processing. Individuals will interface and
collaborate primarily with other engineering disciplines, as well
as operations, systems, quality and supply chain. This position is
onsite and can either be in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA. What
You Will Do Utilizing strong mechanical hardware design experience
and knowledge with ruggedized structures, interconnects, electronic
modules, radome and array integration. Developing technical
solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire
product life cycle including proposal, design, manufacture,
integration and test of phase array radars/electronics for multiple
military programs' Supervising the definitions of mechanical
outline and construction details, component selection and
specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, electrical/RF
layout, and delivering the final technical data package. Support
and participate in design peer reviews, closing action items,
resolving issues, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical
decisions. Work with limited supervision and meet commitments for
assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals. Provide
technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and
process meet appropriate standards and requirements. Work
collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure team members
are aligned and aware of team goals and potential obstacles. Lead
retrospectives to discuss what went well, what could be improved,
and identify actionable improvements using methods within and
beyond the Customer-Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) system.
Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Minimum of 2 years
designing and developing mechanical equipment, preferably for use
in Military environments. Experience with phase array structures,
hardware packaging, radome or array integration for military or
mechanical or commercial applications. The ability to obtain and
maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible
for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Proven
mechanical design ability in a production environment. Detail
orientated and demonstrated ability to effectively work in
cross-functional a team environment. Strong technical aptitude.
Must be able to handle high-stress situations well. Experience with
CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software. Experience with
PTC Windchill Product Data Management or equivalent
configuration/data management software Must possess strong
technical writing and oral communication skills. Must be able to

all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to
the development of our products. This position requires onsite work
in Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA. As part of our commitment to

as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is
68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
