Job Description:
NFI Massachusetts Inc., a nonprofit human service agency, is
currently seeking a licensed Master's-Level Mental Health Clinician
for its Family Resource Center located in Lowell, MA.
The NFI Family Resource Center (FRC) located in Lowell, MA provides
services either on-site or through referrals through its extensive
network of providers. Services include career support, mental
health counseling, family support, education support, Child
Requiring Assistance (CRA) support, and more. The Lowell FRC is a
member of the Massachusetts Family Resource Center Network and is
open to all individuals and families in the Greater Lowell
Area.
The NFI Family Resource Center (FRC) is seeking a full-time
Licensed Mental Health Clinician. The Clinician will be primarily
responsible for facilitating specialized services for "Children
Requiring Assistance" (CRA) and their families, or families with
challenges consistent with the state's definition of CRA: children
up to age 18 who are runaways, chronically truant, refusing to obey
reasonable rules in the home or at school, and/or who have been
sexually exploited. Youth and families with CRA-related issues will
receive standardized intake, screening, assessment, support
planning, as well as the host of onsite services offered by the
Family Resource Center. This position also will facilitate
parenting classes weekly. A clinician with a passion for social
justice would fit in with the FRC team and mission.
Job Responsibilities:
The overall planning, implementation and oversight of the clinical
services provided by the program.
Complete a family version of the CANS Assessment for all Family
Resource Center families who present with CRA-related issues, as
well as other identified supplemental behavioral needs
assessments.
Oversees the development of "Family Support Plans" in collaboration
with the FRC's Family Partner and families.
Provides ongoing supervision and case management oversight to the
Family
Partner to ensure that progress is made toward Family Support Plan
goals.
Provides appropriate feedback and training to the Family Partner
regarding record keeping.
Facilitate therapeutic groups for adolescents with CRA-related
issues.
Facilitate parent support groups, workshops, and parenting classes
for families.
Facilitating and/or coordinate clinical in-service training.
Develop curriculum for therapeutic groups.
Provide clinical support to other FRC staff.
Provide consultation to other FRC staff, including, but not be
limited to, how to work effectively with Family Members who have
experienced trauma.
Understands working with a highly diverse community of people.
Participate and represent the FRC in community meetings, task force
and committees.
Job Requirements :
Master's Degree from an accredited program of social work, clinical
or counseling psychology or psychiatric nursing.
Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, to practice as a
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW) or
Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC).
Three years of experience providing direct treatment to clients
with mental health, survivors of domestic violence or other trauma
and/or substance abuse problems, subsequent to obtaining a
Licensure.
Ability to work some evenings a week and one Saturday
bi-monthly.
Desired Qualifications:
Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred.
The Clinician will demonstrate cultural competence with an ability
to work with diverse populations, within the community and with
agency staff members.
Capable of working independently, or within a team structure.
Experience providing supervision.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
