Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Neuro ICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU role requiring recent trauma ICU experience and both BLS and ACLS certifications. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in a 10-bed Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) at a Primary Stroke Center - Care for patients with stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic), neurosurgical procedures, and complex neuro-medical conditions - Will float to a Surgical ICU (18 beds) and other critical care units as needed - Patient population includes post-surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis cases - Responsibilities include advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and caring for patients with ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, and EVDs - Uses advanced monitoring equipment and manages various lines, tubes, and drains - Applicants must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted - Responsible for critical care of complex neuro, surgical, and trauma patient populations - Must be able to float between intensive care units as required /n /n Requirements/n - Active NH or Compact RN license required and must remain valid for the duration of the assignment - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma ICU experience within the past 2 years - Proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, ventilator management, pressors, inotropes, vasoactive medications, and PA lines and waveform interpretation required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-659770.
