Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:45-19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Current RN License Certifications: ACLS and BLS Required, NHISS and TNCC Preferred Must-Have: Telemetry Step-down Experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit has 23 beds and a staff of 9 members. The day shift consists of 6-7 RNs and 2 Aides. The night shift also has 6-7 RNs and 2 Aides. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1. Equipment used includes bedside monitors, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, high flow oxygen, chronic ventilators, and subdural drains. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should be team-oriented. Typical procedures performed on the unit include chest tubes and EEGs.
