Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a
Progressive Care Unit. The unit has 23 beds and a staff of 9
members. The day shift consists of 6-7 RNs and 2 Aides. The night
shift also has 6-7 RNs and 2 Aides. The patient-to-nurse ratio is
4:1. Equipment used includes bedside monitors, end-tidal CO2
monitoring, high flow oxygen, chronic ventilators, and subdural
drains. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Candidates should be team-oriented. Typical procedures performed on
the unit include chest tubes and EEGs. Weekly schedules require
working every other weekend with no on-call duties. 5 Benefits of
