Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights. Must be flexible with scheduling to meet the needs of the unit, including every other weekend. Job Description The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) plays a critical role in patient care within a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, providing quality care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the emergency department. Implement and manage patient care plans based on clinical protocols. Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring patient safety. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required. CEN, ENPC, MOAB, ProAct, or other de-escalation training preferred. Previous travel nursing experience and large teaching facility experience required.
