Job Description Sr Mechanical Engineer 6 mo contract to perm Tyngsboro, MA Responsibilities: Lead, advise, and assist in the design and execution of all projects from initial concept through market launch, ensuring on-time submission of deliverables. Work with teams to create mechanical designs for catheters, disposables, enclosures, mechanisms, and other components, while balancing function, appearance, form, and budgetary requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team involving members of all levels of an organization as well as clients. Manage and facilitate client interactions with clear communication as it relates to deliverables, design reviews, and deadlines. Remain apprised of the progress of certain projects, paying particular attention to any developing problems, and participate in major problem resolutions. Communicate to other teammates and management of any significant deviations from project plans. Coordinate internal team staffing and budget requirements for projects. Create CAD files and/or other design documentation usingSolidWorks. Qualifications: Proficient at operating within and contributing to an ISO 13485 quality environment. BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering program. Expert level usingSolidWorksto create designs and documentation. 5 or more years of mechanical engineering experience. 3-5 years of medical device development experience. 1-2 years of experience developing automation systems and mechanisms. 2-4 years working as the lead engineer or project manager.
