Cultivation Supervisor (Technical Department)

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing Irrigation and IPM employees' daily tasks/job descriptions
  • Responsible for teaching and training Irrigation and IPM employees on processes and procedures for proper care of facility, equipment, and plants
  • Partner with Cultivation Manager to assure all grow rooms are kept on their grow schedules
  • Partner with Cultivation Manager to ensure irrigation/climate/IPM schedules are implemented
  • Partner with Cultivation Manager with inventory needs
  • Complete daily walk throughs of all grow rooms to ensure plant health/pest scouting/watering needs/climate needs are addressed and documented on proper forms
  • Ability to provide strong leadership to address employee concerns and administer disciplinary action if necessary
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Implement good agricultural practices (GAPs) and follow all GMPs and Facility Rules
  • Keep good records and follow good documentation practices (GDPs)
  • Monitor environmental conditions including, but not limited to, temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, VPD, W/M2.
  • Gather EC, pH and volume data from the irrigation system in the grow rooms
  • Organize Distribution of biological control agents (BCAs) as needed
  • Organize foliar feeds and preventative and other sprays
  • Operate and maintain cultivation systems/equipment
  • Perform regular audits as required
  • Coordinate with the weekend irrigation staff to ensure a smooth transition between weekend and weekday irrigation teams.
  • Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by management

Compliance

  • Ensure cultivation operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
  • Assure that all operations adhere to business and industry license requirements.
  • Maintain strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the grow and document production by completing forms, reports, logs and records as required.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Focus on a physical task for a long period of time without losing edge
  • Manual dexterity; enough to reach/handle items, work with fingers
  • Standing for extended periods is common
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents
  • Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
  • Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol.
  • Daily use of provided PPE
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces at times
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lb
  • Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms.
  • Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
