The Process Engineer develops and documents manufacturing
techniques, materials, tools and processes related to back-end
semiconductor assembly Wafer and Die processing operations.
Performs analyses and selects techniques to solve problems and
enhance product yield and process flows.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-- Establishes high yielding, cost effective processes based on
product need and customer requirements.
-- Develop and implement Programs on Automated, Semi-Automated and
Manual equipment for internally assembled products supporting Wafer
Backgrind, Wafer Mount, Wafer Saw, Pick and Place and 2 nd Optical
Die Inspection Processes.
-- Provide support for set-up, trouble-shooting and optimization of
Wafer & Die processing equipment for a wide variety or Wafer and
Die sizes and technologies - REI and Original Manufacturer
-- Assume technical leadership role for REI Die Sales jobs,
Internal 2 nd Optical Die Inspection, External Customer Service
Wafer & Die processing.
-- Continuously improves methods at Wafer & Die processing
operations to maximize output using Lean methodology while ensuring
Quality is maintained at a high level.
-- Maintains knowledge of new developments in Wafer & Die
Processing manufacturing methods and technologies.
-- Creates and maintains documentation for Wafer and Die Processing
operations including Process Specifications, Forms and Training
-- Supports and mentors Engineering and Manufacturing Technicians
and operators, provides training and skills development.
-- Develops and executes Design of Experiments (DOE) for process
optimization utilizing appropriate statistical analysis software,
such as JMP, Minitab, Excel Statistics, or equivalent.
-- Establishes processes based on product specifications.
