If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.* Oversees and manages a subordinate staff that assist internal and external parties (Small Business/Self Employed, Wage and Investment, Criminal Investigation employees, the United States Attorney's staff, state and local prosecutorial staff, and other law enforcement agencies) in pre-trial preparation and discovery.* Prepares and presents briefings on the overall performance of actions applicable to the goals and priorities of the Court Witness Program (CWP).* Develops, oversees, approves, and establishes operating methods and procedures for accomplishment of the Court Witness Program mission.* Oversees the development of memoranda, policy statements, written guidelines and recommendations, and detailed action plans and schedules for long and short-range project accomplishment; and ensures that plans are consistent with Service goals, schedules, and policies. Establishes a system to review, control, and report on Court Witness program status. To be qualifying for this position your experience should be sufficient to demonstrate: Experience with management techniques, methods, theories, principles, and labor relations concepts, to assure optimum utilization of personnel, equipment, and space for the accomplishment of all program objectives with combined technical and administrative oversight; Experience applying regulations, other official guidance and principles, including the latest procedures and techniques sufficient to oversee the planning, development and implementation of the technical aspects of programs specific to the position being filled; Experience applying basic budget management principles and practices (ie ability to maintain and manage financial resources); Experience applying communicative techniques to effectively and diplomatically interact with internal and external customers.* Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service.
