Harvest Technician Job Description

  • Position located in Amesbury*

Summary

The Harvest Technician provides manual labor which supports the post-cultivation activities and operations of our cultivation department. This position will be responsible for preparing and processing harvests for flower sales and oil extraction.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in cannabis harvest process including offload, harvesting, sanitizing, and reloading dry rooms, milling and destruction of cannabis waste
  • Harvesting and drying wet cannabis plants
  • Accurately weigh and record post-harvest materials and manage cultivation waste
  • Keep post-harvest rooms, tools, and equipment sterilized to our strict quality control standard
  • Cleans and sanitizes dry rooms
  • Aide in minor equipment repairs and preventative equipment maintenance
  • Adhere to all daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols.
  • Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes
  • Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Skills at using computers, web browsers and ERP systems.
  • People and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Working knowledge or ability to develop working knowledge of cannabis state regulations
  • Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload with deadlines.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
  • Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Focus on a physical task for a long period of time without losing edge
  • Manual dexterity; enough to reach/handle items, work with fingers
  • Standing for extended periods is common
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents
  • Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
  • Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol.
  • Daily use of provided PPE
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces at times
  • Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms.
  • Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
