Join Takeda as a Senior Research Associate where you will design and execute laboratory experiments to support the development, qualification, and automation of plate-based assays, including liquid chromatography methods. You will also work on development of biochemical and other analytical methods for recombinant proteins. As part of the Potency Group in Analytical Development, you will report to Associate Scientific Fellow.

How you will contribute:

  • Perform analytical activities, including but not limited to; liquid chromatography, oligosaccharide/glycan analysis, capillary electrophoresis, spectroscopic assays, and automation development to support in evaluating new analytical technologies related to glycan mapping analysis and other variety of AD-Bio activities.
  • Design experiments and guide scientific conclusions based on the results.
  • Perform other general lab functions to support ongoing operations in AD-Bio. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
    • Associates degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science and 4+ years relevant industry experience.
    • Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 2+ years relevant industry experience.
    • Masters degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 0+ years relevant industry experience.
    • Knowledge of glycan analysis (Waters Glycoworks and Agilent Gly-Q platforms) and Waters Andrew Plus automation is highly desirable, with a general understanding of glycoproteins and light programming knowledge.
    • Experience with liquid chromatography analysis UPLC/HPLC instrumentation is a must (Waters Empower/Thermo Chromeleon).
    • Hands-on experience with microvolume pipetting with general understanding of light programming techniques is desirable.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to seek guidance when necessary.
    • Good organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to function as a team member. What Takeda can offer you:
