Liberty Mutual Investments manages Liberty Mutual's globally invested assets of $90b generating income and creating capital.Liberty Mutual Investments Tech partners with the investment front and back office functions within the Investments Department. This role is a Software Engineeron thePrivate Investment Technologyteam and is primarily focused on designing and developing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Dashboards to support the business strategies of the Private Investment front-office teams, covering Private Equity, Real Estate and other alternative investments.Note: This is a range posting (Software/Senior Software Engineer) and title/grade will be determined by the candidates skills and experience.Responsibilities:Work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and peer developers to iteratively create technical solutions that meet business and technical requirementsAnalyze technical system problems, and design and implement effective solutionsHandle end-to-end development, including coding, testing, and debugging during each cycleCreate and maintain technical documentationExecutes all levels of testing (Unit, System, Integration, Regression)3+ years of professional development experienceExcellent analytical, problem solving, and communication and collaboration skillsGeneral knowledge of agile software development concepts and processesThe ideal candidate will be dedicated, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinkerQualificationsHighly competitive applicants will have:Exposure to or an interest in investments and asset managementDevelopment experience with tools like PowerBI Python/Django, Snowflake, and RESTful servicesDevOps with Jenkins, Bamboo, Git, Bitbucket, etc.Cloud exposure: AWS - s3, Lambda, step functions, etc.General Qualifications:Generally, 3 years of software engineering experienceExperience working with Agile"methodologies and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with track record of taking solution ownershipStrong oral and written communication skills"and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineersA collaborative, adaptable working style, demonstrated initiative and the ability to prioritize your time and effortsA thorough grasp of technology concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standardsFamiliarity with CI/CD and DevOps toolsA Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experienceAt Liberty Mutual, our purpose is to help people embrace today and confidently pursue tomorrow.
