Job Summary: This role will provide support to the Vice President of Sales and Business Development team, and work collaboratively with internal teams in Estimating, Operations, and Planning. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a knowledge of sales and customer service best practices, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with our top customers to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Review specific customer requests, and process orders and quotes as necessary.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures that will maximize revenue and increase efficiency
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Planning to improve execution, provide additional value to customers in a cost-effective manner, and implement best practices
  • Assist in the preparation of MRP training, meetings, and presentations.
  • Overserve assigned accounts and provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account statuses and relevant problems
  • Monitor customers evolving needs and continually evaluate the quality of our company's relationship with them.
  • Provide support when needed to the sales team for tracking quote win/loss percentages.
  • Develop and monitor system for up-to-date order information with production planners and customer service reps.
  • Other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proven work experience in customer service
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Ability to travel when required
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
    • In-depth understanding of customer service practices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Analytical and multitasking skills
