General Summary of Position:
The Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is searching for part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach in its undergraduate and graduate Nutritional Science program. There are a variety of Nutritional Science topics with potential teaching opportunities in lecture, laboratory, and clinical settings. Courses include: Food Science/Food Safety, Human Nutrition, and Clinical Nutrition. Candidates will become an integral part of the program, working in collaboration with lead instructors. Teaching opportunities will vary by semester, with opportunities beginning in May of 2022.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• 
  
• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Nutrition or closely related field for lecture courses
  
• A Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required for clinical instruction
  
• The ability to work effectively with diverse groups

  • Successful candidates should also have a strong desire to teach a diverse population of students, and previous teaching experience at the university/college level is highly desirable
    
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written

    This is a part-time, non-benefited, Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW position.
