Facilities Technician is responsible for troubleshooting,
maintenance, repair, and occasional modification to all
manufacturing equipment at Watson-Marlow. Key responsibilities also
include the maintenance, repair, and monitoring of all building
infrastructure such as HVAC systems, air compressors, process
cooling systems, facilities, grounds, etc.Key accountabilities
include:Troubleshooting, Repair, and Preventative Maintenance
of:All production equipment including but not limited to injection
molding machines and auxiliary equipment, extrusion lines, assembly
fixtures, automation cells, material handling, and ultrasonic
welders etc.All Facilities related equipment and infrastructure
including but not limited to HVAC equipment, air compressors,
process cooling equipment, etc.Maintaining an inventory of critical
spare parts and supplies by checking stock to determine inventory
level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies by
placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt of
same.Maintaining a clean, safe work area.Create effective inputs,
measures, and KPI's that can drive improvements.Develop/revise
SOP's that will improve performance or save resources and time.Can
own and drive repairs, projects, assignments, etc. to
completion.Provide technical assistance to production and
engineering departments for machine, product, and quality
improvements.Observing and analysing for deficiencies or trends
which could lead to predictive maintenance and other corrective
actions that increase machinery and equipment reliability. And
effectively communicating these findings to the Facility
Manager.Maintains technical knowledge of best industry practices,
and machinery and equipment specific training by attending
educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, liaising
with machinery and equipment suppliers, and via professional
networks.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and
communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Other
misc. tasks, duties, and projects as assigned by the Facilities
Manager including but not limited to light plumbing, carpentry,
cleaning, groundskeeping etc.You will be committed to applying
preventative measures on the production floor to reduce the risk of
future problemsThis is what you'll need to be successful in this
role: - Strong mechanical aptitude and proficient with pneumatics,
hydraulics, electrical systems, reading schematics, PLC's,
robotics, and servo controls. - Experience of using stock control
software - Can follow procedures/work instructions and maintain
good documentation practices - Can effectively communicate both
orally and written, in English. - Proficient computer skills
including Excel, Word, MRP/ERP, and other software as the job
dictates - Ability to lift 35+ pounds regularly. Prolonged standing
and walking. Occasional bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching.
- Follow all protocols to manage the maintenance work in the
building - Must be able to read prints, manuals, and associated
documents to provide equipment repair and service. - Must be able
to use tools and equipment to trouble-shoot and initiate repairs. -
Manage multiple repair requirements in a highly dynamic environment
- At least 3 years' experience being in a Maintenance/Facilities
